Scripture: The 66 books of the Old and New Testament alone are, in the original text, the infallible, inerrant, verbally inspired, Holy word of God. Among many other things, these scriptures outline a clear pattern for Biblical manhood. All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of god may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. II Timothy 3:16

God: There is only one God. He is creator of Heaven and earth, infinite, eternal, almighty, infallible unchangeable, holy and just. God eternally exists in one essence and three persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. “I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.” Revelation 1:8

Man: All of humanity was created in God’s image to be in fellowship with Him and to bring Him praise. Initially innocent and having free will, man succumbed to temptation and sinned, thereby separating himself from a right relationship with God. Now, because of this sin, man is separated from God, dead in his trespasses and sin, in need of salvation. For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Romans 3:23

Salvation: Only those who receive Jesus Christ on the condition of faith alone, apart from good works, are born again of the Holy Spirit, are justified once and for all, and become children of God. Those who are saved remain eternally secure in God’s everlasting blessedness, and those who do not believe are not saved and ultimately suffer an eternal, conscious punishment of the lost. For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith – and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God. Ephesians 2:8

Christ: Jesus Christ, the second person of the Trinity, exists eternally as god. He added unto himself the nature of man being conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary. He is God and man, having two distinct natures co-joined in one person. Jesus died on the cross as a representative, substitutionary sacrifice for the sins of every human being. Jesus arose from the dead in the same physical body in which he lived and died. He ascended in the same glorified physical body in which he arose to be seated at the right hand of His Father. Jesus personal return to earth for His redeemed ones is imminent. This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. Romans 3:22

Holy Spirit: The Holy Spirit, the third person of the Godhead, convicts men of sin. He regenerates, indwells, baptizes, seals and sets believers apart to a Holy life. He is the ultimate Teacher of the Word of God and He empowers believers day by day. Having believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, Ephesians 1:13b

Church: The universal Church is composed of those who have been redeemed and washed in Christ’s blood, regenerated and sealed by the Holy Spirit. Those in the Church are saved to worship, serve God, and to spread the good news of His provision of salvation. After all, no one ever hated his own body, but he feeds and cares for it, just as Christ does the church – for we are members of his body. Ephesians 5:29-30
