Dad, there’s a great song by David Phelps; The End of the Beginning. It would be great to listen to this song and/or read the lyrics to your family. Remind them that the manger is only part of the story. Dad, have your children trusted Christ for salvation? Are they ready? You could lead them! Visit themangerbuild.org to learn how.
But Wait There’s More! – Manger Build Devotion for Wednesday, December 26 from Mike Young on Vimeo.
Dad, you’ve done it! You’ve made it to the last day of devotions for you and your family. So, let’s finish strong. Today I want you to help your family understand and remember that Christmas is only part of the story. It’s pretty easy to get caught up in all the hoopla around Christmas and miss some key points.
Remember this and share it with your family. The manger of Christmas would have no value or meaning without the Cross of Good Friday and the empty tomb of Easter. And the key to all of this is that Jesus came to earth, lived, died and rose again for you and me and our children. One of my prayers for the ultimate impact of The Manger Build is that more children will grow up to be Christ-following adults who can say as part of their testimony, “My father prayed with me as I accepted God’s gift of salvation through Jesus.”
But here’s the key, Dad, first, you must know and serve Jesus personally. And you must be prepared to share that gift with your child(ren). So, I’m including here, a simple plan of salvation called the Roman Road. I have it marked in my Bible, I recommend you mark it in yours. I’m also including a couple of links that will help you with some more information.
Remember this, you need to be connected to a local church. Without that connection, you’ll be bait for Satan.
