It came as a bit of a surprise to me when I realized that I needed to explain the concept of homosexuality to my elementary school children. We’ve had some open and enlightening, but quite unexpected conversations at our dinner table. The question of how to respond to homosexuality lingers out there for many men who aren’t sure how to lead their families. An even bigger issue is, how should the church respond?
With this in mind, I’d like to make a recommendation to you. Mike Haley of Focus on the Family will be in Richmond on Saturday, October 18th to lead a 1/2 day workshop to help churches and individuals understand how to address some challenging questions:
• Can a person be born homosexual?
• If two people are in love then who cares if they are the same sex?
• Why should Christians care about homosexuality?
• My brother is gay and I don’ know what to say to him?
