National Day of Prayer

Bible Reading Marathon

The National Day of Prayer is coming up on May 1st. The National Day of Prayer has great significance for us as a nation as it enables us to recall the way in which out founding fathers sought the wisdom of God when faced with critical decisions. It stands as a call for us to humbly come before God, seeking His guidance for our leaders and His grace upon us as a people.

Every year, Bless Richmond organizes events as part of the NDOP. A cool opportunity I would encourage you to consider is the Bible Reading Marathon. For 48 hours leading up the start of the Prayer Gathering at Richmond’s Capitol, men, women, and children will be speaking the Word of God over the City of Richmond from Genesis to Revelation… This would be a treat activity for your family or men’s group to sign up for a chunk of time to read together at the capitol.
