War Room was the number one new movie in theaters last weekend! That’s exciting news but really, this isn’t about a great movie; it’s about a great God who speaks to us and wants to hear from us through prayer. The film was bathed and birthed in prayer and is now inspiring more prayer!
So, if you haven’t seen it yet, get out and see War Room this weekend! But you may also be asking, what are some real, practical ways that I could take this inspiration and become a better prayer warrior! There are many options. You can check out a variety of resources here. But, I’d like to make two specific suggestions…
Pray with your Wife –
This is something I struggle with and I know I’m not alone. Stacy and I pray for each other and with each other (occasionally… but not nearly enough). So, we’re on board for the 30-day Oneness Prayer Challenge offered by FamilyLife. It’s not too late to accept the challenge, learn more here.
Pray for Your Pastor –
As I work with more and more churches and pastors, I continue to learn just how challenging and sometimes lonely a pastor’s job really is. You can bless them in many ways but nothing would be more helpful and encouraging to your pastor than to know that he’s being lifted up daily by his men. Perhaps you could launch this initiative where men in your church take turns praying daily for your pastor. Get more information here.
