The Manger Build

The Manger Build The Manger Build is a Tool for Building Men. When executed well, a team of men from a local church will pray for, plan and host a Manger Build. The day of the event men bring their children (or someone else’s) and build a life-sized manger (a wooden livestock feed trough). After the event, families place the manger in front of their tree and Dad leads a series of devotions using the manger and Dad’s Tools for Spiritual Leadership to keep Christ in front of Christmas for his family.

The Impact Each Manger Build event has multiple layers of impact. A team of men in a local church gets guided experience preparing for and executing a successful event that invests in men, Dads are equipped to lead their families, and families are encouraged to keep Christ in front of Christmas. So, a team of men work together to invest in dads, who are equipped to invest in their own families, and Christ is at the center of it all! What a great impact!

Our Need The Manger Build is quickly gaining momentum. We have been blessed with resources to get us to this point, but now we need your help. Would you lock arms with us to Build The Manger Build? Let's push this God idea forward from ministry to movement!

+The Project FAQ's

Shouldn’t The Manger Build fund itself? Theoretically, Yes. And we hope that someday it will. However, our current situation is that we have exhausted available resources in development of the product, printing, and marketing. We still have work to do on behalf of The Manger Build and need to restore some funds for other aspects of Noble Warriors ongoing ministry to men – through churches.

How much money do you hope to raise? The overall goal for the project is $100,000. We've received a percentage of that through special gifts and ongoing donors, Mike is working to raise $50k more through major donors and partners and we hope to see $20k come through the Build The Manger Build initiative.

What if you don’t meet your goal? Our faith and resolve is strong. We, Mike and Stacy, the NW Board, and the whole NW team, believe this is of God. This is His work and he will find it according to his will. We trust that in some way, form or fashion, God will provide resources for both Noble Warriors and The Manger Build. Through this process, I often find myself saying with King Jehoshaphat, “We do not know what to do, but our eyes are on you.” Read 2 Chronicles 20 for this awesome story of Jehoshaphat’s humble prayer and God’s amazing response. *Regardless of the outcome, however, we plan to “Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, and give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. “ 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

What if you surpass your goal? We serve a God which is able to do “far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us.” We will not be surprised if God provides an abundance and will prayerfully steward all resources for His glory and the advancement of our mission through Noble Warriors and The Manger Build: To engage, equip and encourage churches as they engage, equip and encourage men to walk with Christ and lead their families.

What do you see for the future of The Manger Build? Now I feel like Ezekiel in the valley of dry bones. My response must be “Ok, Lord God, you know”. Truly, only God knows, but we believe that a great adventure awaits us with The Manger Build. This year, our exposure has been broad and a number of significant National Ministries and leaders have seen The Manger Build and are excited about it. Prayerfully, we believe that 2014 could be a very significant year for this ministry resource.
