Prayerfully, this is the year! Since we started inviting men to build mangers with their children in 2005, we have known that The Manger Build could be a significant tool to help local churches reach and build men. In the past year, God has assembled a team of gifted folks to help make this happen. Right now, we’re in the process of developing a Church Resource Kit that will help churches recruit a Manger Build team and execute a powerful event.
We could use your help! Some of you have participated in The Manger Build at your churches in the past. Men, you may have stories about how cool it was to do this with your kids or about how your family enjoyed the devotions you lead. Ladies, you may have a story about the blessing of seeing your man spend time building a manger with the kids and leading the family to keep Christ in front of Christmas.
If you have a story or some photos you took, would you share them with us? As we build out the new Manger Build website, we’ll include a testimony page where we’ll upload stories and photos. Your family’s story could be featured there.
Also, go ahead and mark the morning of December 14th on your personal and church calendar. That’s the day we’re encouraging churches to host manger builds across the country. We’ll have more information about our new resources to in August. In the meantime, please be praying for this project. Our prayer goal is that 3,000 churches will host manger builds on December 14!
