When we asked Dave Johnson of Equipped.Life which man in the Bible he most identified with, he said Paul.
“But my life is worth nothing to me unless I use it for finishing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus–the work of telling others the Good News about the wonderful grace of God.” Acts 20:24
Dave says this, too, is his calling.

As the former content creator and presenter with the Gathering of Men, Dave Johnson served for 12 years as Gathering of Men’s Executive Director until the ministry merged with Noble Warriors. He is now involved with Equipped.Life which is in the process of being developed by men who created and presented with Dave at Gathering of Men.
“I believe in ministering to all people, but I recognize there are unique issues men face. Being able to bring biblical wisdom and helping men apply this knowledge to their everyday lives is something we all need. I love connecting with men face-to-face and tackling the tough issues of this life with them, giving them practical Jesus-centered tools they can apply right away.”
Dave’s personal discipleship journey began in the home and when he was a youth pastor. He credits Dave Bounds and his hero, his dad.
“[Dave Bounds] ran Grace Bound Ministries and now works for the SBCV. He has provided counsel to me for many years. My dad – He raised my brother and I to know Jesus.”
Currently, Dave is reading The Case for Grace by Lee Strobel and his favorite book to recommend to people is What God Wishes Christians Knew About Christianity by Bill Gillham.
His favorite verse at this time is Galatians 2:20.
“I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.” (ESV)
